This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Practical Broadband and Next Generation networks workshop.

Whilst the workshop will provide opportunities to hear and learn on broadband and NGN innovations, case studies, key issues and proposals, the meeting on Network Development will allow the Pacific Island countries to discuss specifically the practical ways forward and how best it will meet their national and the regional objectives with broadband, access and bridging the digital divide.

Particular focus will be on the private public partnership initiatives, tapping on the benefits of consolidation and partnerships for small island economies to address critical elements for communications, such as with international and domestic satellite or submarine connectivity.
