PITA Strategy Forum 2026 (PITA Industry week)

PITA is organising an integrated Industry Week as an enhanced Strategy Forum clustering technical training, regulatory – government policies development program, and strategic leadership discussions into one connected platform for the Pacific telecommunications and digital ecosystem.
The event is scheduled for 5–9 October 2026 at the Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi, Fiji, which has recently undergone a significant transformation and upgrade of its accommodation, guest facilities and conference spaces. Registration will open once the group accommodation rates have been finalised in the next few days.

About the PITA Industry Week
The week is being designed to strengthen the linkages between operational realities, policy and regulatory priorities, and the strategic direction of the sector. By clustering these streams together, participants will benefit from broader cross-sector engagement, greater collaboration, and a more integrated approach to addressing the opportunities and challenges shaping the Pacific’s digital future.
To further strengthen this integrated approach, PITA is also planning to schedule the Telecommunications CFO Conference and Finance Training during the preceding week, creating two consecutive weeks of technical, financial, regulatory and executive engagement for the region’s telecommunications industry. (A separate post to be uploaded for this CFO and Finance event at the PITA website and Event portal.)
The current tentative structure for the PITA Strategy Week comprises:
Day 1-2: Telecom Network Engineers Training (Multi-Track Workshops)
Day 2-3: Regulatory & Government Development Forum
Day 4-5: CEO & Industry Strategy Forum

Potential Topics include
| Monday–Tuesday Telecom Network Engineers Training Practical and operational focus: future network architectures, AI-enabled operations, routing and resilience, cybersecurity, submarine and satellite integration, cloudification, edge automation, Interconnection, Peering spectrum and wireless evolution. The aim is to strengthen operational readiness and practical implementation capabilities. | Tuesday–Wednesday Regulatory & Government Development Forum Policy and national development focus: digital sovereignty, AI governance, future spectrum challenges, D2D and NTN developments, cybersecurity and resilience, investment and sustainability gaps, enabling policy and regulatory frameworks, trusted digital infrastructure. The overlap with the engineering tracks allows regulators and governments to connect directly with operational and technical realities.(Single Track) | Thursday–Friday CEO & Industry Strategy Forum Leadership and strategic direction focus: from Telcos to Technos; the future of telecommunications operators, AI and autonomous networks, changing commercial models, future connectivity ecosystems, satellite-terrestrial convergence, infrastructure resilience, regional interconnectivity, digital trust and security, investment sustainability, sovereignty through capability, future partnerships and collaboration models. This creates a higher-level strategic culmination after the technical and regulatory discussions earlier in the week.(Single Track) |
