Telecom Networks Training
From: 6 October 2025 - 8 October 2025
Venue: Dates and Venue to be confirmed; to consider organising with the PITA Strategy Forum
A PITA Telecom Networks Training is currently being planned as a dedicated technical program aimed at supporting the professional development of telecom network engineers and managers across the Pacific region. The training will focus on enhancing technical competencies, sharing best practices, and addressing emerging trends and operational challenges in modern telecom networks. It is part of PITA’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and workforce readiness in the evolving telecommunications landscape.
Spanning three days, the training aims to deliver in-depth, practical insights into current and emerging technologies shaping telecom operations, infrastructure development, and network planning.
Key Objectives include:
Strengthen Operational Expertise
Equip network engineers and managers with practical skills across fibre (terrestrial and submarine), 5G, IoT, and cloud-based operations, with emphasis on integration and resilience.
Enable Strategic Readiness
Build awareness of global technology shifts—such as hyperscaler influence, automation, and intelligent networks—to inform local planning and investment decisions.
Promote Hands-On Learning
Deliver applied training through track-based technical sessions, tailored to the realities of Pacific telecom environments, including small teams managing end-to-end operations.
Foster Technical Collaboration
Provide a platform for peer engagement, knowledge exchange, and identification of shared challenges and solutions among regional operators.
Dates: to organise ahead of the PITA Strategy Forum
