PITA Pacific–Asia Connect 2026 Held alongside ATxSG26 in Singapore

The PITA Pacific–Asia Connect 2026 meeting was successfully held on 21 May 2026 at the Dorsett Changi City, Singapore, alongside the ATxSG26 activities, bringing together members and industry stakeholders present in Singapore for the Asia Tech x Singapore expo and related telecommunications and digital technology activities.
The meeting opened with welcome remarks by PITA President Phillip Henderson followed by a keynote presentation from Julian Gorman, Head of Asia Pacific at GSMA, setting the scene for discussions around the rapidly evolving telecommunications and digital landscape.
Sessions throughout the day covered a broad range of industry topics including advanced network technologies, LEO satellite developments, future mobile core networks, AI-driven digital platforms, cybersecurity, DDoS threats, digital broadcasting infrastructure, international connectivity evolution, and telecoms in the AI era.
NTT Advanced Technology shared perspectives on scaling modern network infrastructure and operational resilience, while Amazon LEO introduced its low earth orbit satellite broadband platform and optical mesh technologies. Summa Networks presented on cloud-ready and software-based mobile core network evolution, while PLDT Global discussed hyperconnected networks, integrated digital platforms, and AI-enabled service delivery.
Cybersecurity and resilience featured strongly throughout the programme with Allot Communications presenting on network-native cybersecurity approaches for telecommunications operators, alongside discussions by Nexusguard on evolving DDoS threats impacting island nations and smaller operators.
Telecom Fiji delivered a case presentation on network transformation and improving digital experiences through modernized telecommunications infrastructure and services. Walesi PTE LTD followed with a presentation on the technical operations supporting Fiji’s nationwide digital broadcasting and OTT infrastructure serving urban, rural, and maritime communities.
iBASIS explored developments across roaming, eSIM, IoT, VoLTE evolution, AI-driven services, and future international connectivity opportunities, while discussions on telecoms in the AI era examined the growing role of operators in supporting AI ecosystems, edge infrastructure, and sustainable digital growth.
The programme concluded with bilateral meetings, networking sessions, and an evening social gathering, with strong engagement and discussions continuing throughout the day among participants.
